If I were looking to buy today, I certainly think the FT-710 would offer excellent value compared to either the FTDX-10 or the IC-7300. There have been several firmware updates with the FT-710 that have addressed initial release bugs and current pricing would make it a very tempting holiday gift for someone. One of the comments made in that video is that the FT-DX10's A/D is "audio grade" as opposed to the "much more expensive A/D" in the 710.
